The End of Xmas

Every few years since I first got a DSLR, I’ve taken a shot entitled ‘the End of Xmas’, an image taken usually as we are de-decorating (or should that be corating?) the tree at the end of the Christmas season. The last couple were posted to the Daily Photo, but as that blog is currently on hiatus I’m posting this year’s photo is here instead. Usually I like to post these on or before twelfth night, but I’ve only just had a chance to edit the images so it’s a little late this year.

If you’re interested, here are the last few ‘End of Xmas’ shots:

2012/13:

1/50, f/5.6, ISO 200, 62mm

1/50, f/5.6, ISO 200, 62mm

2009/10:

0.4sec, f/5.6, ISO 800, 55mm

0.4sec, f/5.6, ISO 800, 55mm

2008/09:

1/4, f/5.6, ISO 1600, 55mm

As you can see, there’s a clear theme I usually follow. Maybe next time I’ll get a bit more creative. That said, it’s nice to see the evolution of the concept over the last five years.
